This is going to be the most difficult Top 5 Tuesday yet! I’m a little sad that this is the last of the alphabet prompts but it was so much fun! I hope to do this again someday so that I can add even more favorites! Most all of the books I mentioned below are books I haven’t read yet so keep that in mind while reading this list. If you are interested in participating this meme is hosted by Shanah @ The Bionic Bookworm, and she’ll be posting the Top 5 Tuesday topics for August quite soon so please feel free to go and check her posts out!
U – Uprooted by Naomi Novik – I have not read this one yet, but I’m really excited about reading it after finishing Spinning Silver. I don’t know much about the plot of the book but I don’t really want to know anything about it because I want to enjoy discovering it as I go. I’m going a little crazy waiting for the audiobook to come in from my library.
V – Valor and Vanity by Mary Robinette Kowal – This is the fourth book in the Glamourist History Series. I can’t really tell you what it’s about because I still haven’t read the third book in the series and I don’t want to spoil myself. I can tell you that this series has been a lot of fun so far. It’s basically Jane Austen but with magic and I would describe the magic system as living embroidery. It’s really neat and I’ve enjoyed reading the series so far.
W – Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson – Now this one I’ve read! It’s one of my all time favorite fantasy books and I highly recommend it to anyone who is somewhat interested in the fantasy genre.
X – I could not find any books that I’m even remotely interested in that start with the letter X, they were either horror/thriller, or harlequin romance books and neither of those genres are for me.
Y – Yes Please by Amy Poehler – Yet another book that I haven’t read. I’m really interested in this book because I’m a big fan of Amy Poehler. I liked watching her on Saturday Night Live, Leslie Knope is my all time favorite tv character, and I think she’s does a lot of awesome charity work so I’m curious about her life.
Z – Zenith by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings – I hate ending this challenge on a book that I rated 2 stars but unfortunately it’s the only book I’ve read with Z as the first letter in the title. This book was a miss for me, it just didn’t have the editing it desperately needed to make the plot work and I think it was a bit too much for me.
